October 12, 2026 Rockport Family Half-Day Fishing Trip
Reese Rosser's group of four adults and two children joined me for a half-day morning trip on October 12. What stood out most was how much the kids enjoyed learning on the water. They had plenty of questions, and I enjoyed helping them understand where we look for fish and why.
Trip Details
Date: October 12, 2026
Trip: Half Day Trip (AM)
Group: Four adults and two children
Focus: A patient, engaging fishing experience for the kids and the whole family
Learning on the Water
A family trip is a chance to do more than hand someone a rod. The children were curious about the water and where fish might be, so we made room for their questions throughout the morning. Reese appreciated the time I spent helping them learn and keeping the experience fun.
Reese's review focused on the family experience rather than listing species or catch totals. The strongest part of this trip's story is the children's excitement and the attention they received from their guide.
Captain Blake's Notes
I want young anglers to feel comfortable asking questions. Explaining what we are looking for and why we choose a spot can help turn a morning of fishing into something they remember long after the trip.
With four adults and two children aboard, everyone had a different way to enjoy the day. I was glad to help the kids learn while the whole group spent time together on the water.
Guest Feedback
Reese, who has fished with several guides in the area, called this the most enjoyable guided trip they had taken so far. They especially appreciated the patience and help I gave the children.
“Captain Blake was extremely patient and helpful with our kids.” — Reese Rosser
Reese said the children had an absolute blast and that the family plans to book future trips with Texas Crew'd.
